Inside Sales - Data Specialist

Overview

The Inside Sales - Data Specialist position will ideally be based in our Beverly, MA office and will play an important role in helping grow revenue through a combination of inbound leads, new lead creation, and upsells. Remote candidates will be considered.

The DS is an inbound prospect’s first contact with DataOne. The ability to quickly connect, listen, and establish trust is critical. In addition to processing inbound leads, the Data Specialist will target companies in assigned verticals focusing on smaller, less complex opportunities.


Responsibilities:

  • Exceed sales and activity goals by qualifying and processing assigned inbound leads; research and evaluate their viability; own the follow-up, and be accountable for the results
  • Assign leads to other members of the sales team following predetermined guidelines
  • Identify new opportunities within assigned accounts and move them through the sales cycle
  • Research potential prospects within assigned verticals and create strategy for outreach to those prospects
  • Identify new opportunities from within past leads and lost accounts to win new business

Required Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years of experience in Sales, Customer Service or Account Management with verifiable success in handling inbound leads
  • Must be intellectually curious about various segments of the automotive industry and genuinely care about the success of our prospects and clients
  • Experience in software, technology, or data sales; experience in the automotive industry preferred

Required Skills:

  • Highly developed sales skills and instincts; understanding and proficiency in working within a sales process; methodical approach
  • Ability to communicate in a clear, concise, and professional manner
  • Able to identify opportunities from disparate data points and proactively work to capture new business; Ability to think on your feet!
  • Superlative organizational skills with the ability to prioritize competing tasks
